Dr. Rachel Matthews, DMD, MS

Dr. Rachel Matthews was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois.  She attended Bradley University in Peoria for her undergraduate education, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor's of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology.  She then attended The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry for her dental training, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 2006.  Following her time in Kentucky, Dr. Matthews was accepted into the Endodontics Residency Program at The Ohio State University, and In 2008 she received her Certificate in Endodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry.  During this time she underwent extensive training in non-surgical and surgical root canal procedures using the most current technology available.

Dr Matthews masters research on the effects of local anesthesia was published in the Journal of Endodontics in March of 2009.

Dr. Matthews is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Southern Academy of Endodontists. 

In her free time Dr. Matthews enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and taking photographs of the kids.
